The Sheng Yen Education Foundation is a Buddhist organization that advocates the idea and work of Protecting the spiritual environment. Every volunteer in this group is a bodhisattva of all virtuous deeds who helps Dharma Drum Mountain to carry out its mission. Master Sheng Yen, the founder, said, the term of “all virtuous deeds” does not mean one with the capability for doing all things; rather, it means that one is willing and doing various tasks no matter they are at highor low levels. If there is something that no one wants to do we take it up. If it is something that other people are taking care of we should joyfully yield them the opportunity. We joyfully welcome    everyone to join us. Let us bring out the great compassion within ourselves, vow to render services to others, and vigorously sow the seeds in the wide field of blessings so as to benefit both others and ourselves.

The purpose of this Foundation is to help purifying people’s mind and promote the development of social education through promoting the thoughts and visions of “Uplifting the Characters of Humanity and Building a Pure Land on Earth,” which Master Sheng Yen advocated. Through the venue of free books distribution and grants offering to the academic researches on Master Sheng Yen’s thoughts, we put into action of realizing Master’s vision of establishing a pure land on earth. We need people like you to help and support our work. “Those who give selflessly are blessed, and those who do good deeds are happy”—we welcome you to join us to sow the seeds in the field of merits. In that way we can amass all our small goods to achieve the great good for the whole society.
